is a turnkey solution provider in the areas of information, communication and biometric technologies. Vlatacom designs, develops, manufactures and delivers its hardware and software solutions to leading international players in these fields of business. The company has been founded in 1997 in Belgrade, starting its operations as Motorola's distributor for Serbia.Vlatacom provides solutions in the following areas:
- Document readers: Vlatacom dedicates special attention to development of hardware and software for mobile as well as desktop identity document readers on various platforms
- Biometrics: the implementation of Motorola's biometric systems and development of turnkey solutions for identification, authentication, access control and security, including AFIIS (Automated Fingerprint Identification System) and FIIS (Facial Image Identification System)
- Telecommunications: design and installation of state of the art digital radio systems (TETRA) and MW links for data transfer
- GIS: development of powerfull and reliable GIS solutions and construction of large GIS databases with extensive information allowing various services, such as automated vehicle location, fleet management and other location based services
- SCADA: remote surveillance and control systems for the major public corporations (Serbia electrical power company, Serbia petrol industries) and smaller public companies of regional, metropoliten or minucipal level using open platform operative systems, the most advance SCADA software and data bases
Most of the Vlatacom's employees are young people with two to five years of work experience in the fields of telecommunications, surveillance and control, automated vehicle tracking and location, software development etc. The older employees possess vast experience gathered while working in Serbia's most prominent civil, police and army institutions. Project managers and executives have a vast international technical, marketing and management experience.
